Bell's Palsy 

Thank you, Dr. Huang.

You not only curing my Bell’s palsy, you also taught me a little about Traditional Chinese Medicine. I learned that Bell’s palsy is called Zhong Feng which literally translates to “Wind Attack.” It is believed that Bell’s palsy is caused when Wind and Cold invade the meridians, muscles and tendons of the face.

My immune system was down and the body’s defenses were weak from the outbreak of a virus I contracted. The day I had my attack the temperature was 90° outside of my office trailer, inside I had the air conditioning at about 60° and the air-conditioners positioned was blowing on the left-hand side of my face. After going in and out several times during the day I felt my ear on the left side of my face start ringing. By the time I got home at 4:30 PM my face was totally sagged. After receiving treatment at the hospital for the virus, I researched on the Internet alternate treatments for Bell’s palsy. This is where I found your webpage and was fortunate that I received treatment within seven days after my attack. It only took six treatments and I was cured. During my treatment for Bell’s palsy you also gave me treatments for my immune system which helped my overall health. Thank you again for not only taking care of my Bell’s palsy but I will also see you soon when I'm ready to quit smoking.

Infertility

After many years of trying and several failed pregnancies my husband and I elected to move onto IVF accompanied with acupuncture treatment.  Dr. Haung is simply a tremendous acupuncturists.  He is knowledgeable and understanding.  We are so excited that only with a few months of treatment our IVF cycle was successful and we will be welcoming our first son shortly.  We cannot begin to thank Dr. Haung for his compassion and involvement on helping us achieve a long, and at times, uncertain dream.

Infertility

After trying to conceive for 14 months my husband and I decided that instead of seeing a doctor for very pricey and invasive procedures that I would try Infertility Acupuncture as an alternate form of medicine, and that's when I found Michael. I really didn't know much about acupuncture in general but figured that it would be worth a shot.  When I met with Michael I felt confident that he might be able to help me and I felt like he wanted me to be a success story.  Well after 5 weeks of treatment I became pregnant.  I don't know how or why, but I did; I was pregnant.  What truly amazed me about this whole surreal experience is that when I went to see Michael on Wednesday he knew that I was pregnant already just by my pulse and other strange symptoms.  I was not even due for my period yet so I warned Michael that I was obsessed with getting pregnant and that he should not "tease" me like that because I would go home and take a test.  Well the next morning I decided to take a pregnancy test and as I began to throw it away like I did 14 times before that the test was POSITIVE!  I am so thankful to Michael for helping my husband and I achieve this wonderful gift.  I would highly recommend Michael to any couple that has any Infertility issue.

Infertility (with two failed IVFs)

Our lives turned 90 degrees since we started the acupuncture treatment with Michael Huang. My wife couldn’t get pregnant and we had to undergo IVF treatment, so we went through the vicious IVF cycle – TWICE - with negative results. Michael told us he can help, so we gave his treatment a chance in conjunction with a third IVF cycle. To our joy, after 2 months of acupuncture, the third IVF cycle was a success, we are expecting a new family member in December. Thank you, Michael!

Multiple Conditions 

Dr. Huang  is the "real deal.” I was introduced to acupuncture through a female European doctor.  Almost immediately I had astonishing results. In fact, the results were so good,  I was concerned about finding a qualified expert of Chinese Medicine in my Long Island location. Well, I did try one on Long Island and it was all about buying herbs and getting in as many patients each day.  I was so disappointed but I remembered my kind European doctor telling me "use your intuitive instincts" check and try a few before settling on a treatment.   I have found the professional, competent doctor I was searching for even here on Long Island. WOW!

All I can say, if you are thinking about acupuncture--don't hesitate.  My European Doctor explained that this procedure has been practiced for over 3000 years and that it puts nothing in your body--it enhances your own immune system and bodily functions.  You continue taking your medications and you continue to see your doctor but in time you will need less drugs and have better results. I have some serious conditions and they have been ongoing for two years.  My attitude with my doctors is not good- lot's of misdiagnosis, wrong drugs, etc.  However, I continue treatment and take expensive medications.  But, I will most definitely continue other Eastern methods and combine them with the Western medicine I am also using. 

I would highly recommend Dr. Huang.  He is serious, well educated professional with a calm and caring sense. His credentials are impeccable.  I was a little scared going to any new Doctor, but I found there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

In my way of thinking, if this painless procedure of acupuncture is being used in Europe and all over Asia with remarkable results.  Why not here? Combining both Eastern and Western medicine seems like a win!

Neck, Back, and Sciatic Pains

I’ve been treated by Michael Huang mainly for muscle pains on the back and neck and joint pains on the hip and lower back. Because of the pains I had, I had difficulty concentrating on studying. Also, whenever I went to the gym in the hope of loosening up the muscles to relieve some tightness and pains on the back, the pains in the hip got worse and I was being trapped in a vicious circle. When I went to the gym again after the first treatment by Michael, however, I didn’t feel any pain in the hip and now I can walk and jog for more than an hour without any problem. Also, now, after the fourth treatment, my general health has been so much improved. I don’t feel constant craving for food as I did before, which was also a long-term problem I had. Furthermore, my chronic skin disease has been much better although it was not my main concern when I sought treatment from him. I’m a graduate student and face constant pressure and stress, so I still go to see him once or twice a month. He is compassionate, listens to me with great care, and always explains the functions of acupoints he uses, and his treatment is very relaxing. I’ve always believed in Eastern medicine and tried quite a few of them, including acupuncture, in the past and have told my friends that he’s one of the best acupuncturists I’ve ever had.

Acne 

I have tried everything there is to try for acne. I've switched my makeup, tried pro-active, tried every face wash, and tried no face wash. I drink a lot of water, eat healthy and still had acne. Until a couple of months ago when I started going to Michael Huang Acupuncture, where he explained to me acne comes from heat in the body created by spicy foods and coffee along with many other things. After the first visit I saw a lot of redness gone from my face and after my 6th or 7th visit my face was the clearest it's ever been. Now I go to just keep up the progress or in case a breakout. I am a firm believer in this and very pleased with my results.

Headache

I started the acupuncture treatment with Michael Huang about 2 months ago for infertility. After 2 unsuccessful IVF cycles he was my only hope. I feel great and I stared my 3rd cycle a few days ago and things are going much better. Here is an interesting story: one night when I had my appointment with Michael I had a severe headache; it was so bad that I almost couldn’t open one of my eyes. He treated me for it and the terrible pain was gone almost instantly. It was amazing….and all this without any medication! Weight Loss 

Michael Huang is a great acupuncturist. He knows a lot and he really treats his patients with so much care. From the first two acupuncture therapies, I’ve already lost a lot of my appetite as well as some weight. No diet pills or any other drugs would work this well.  I have no trouble being on a diet, because I’m not craving. About the needles and pain, a couple of the acupuncture points felt like a pinch, but for most of them, I didn’t even feel anything. I am scheduled for my third therapy session, and I am excited as always, to be there. The treating room is very clean and comfortable, and it always makes me fall asleep during the therapy. I think the best thing about this is that there are no side effects to the treatments because it’s all about natural healing and helping the body to circulate better.

Quit Smoking 

I was finally ready to quit smoking, after too many years of doing so. One of my biggest concerns was gaining weight because of my metabolism slowing down.  I read an article on acupuncture and how it can help you to quit smoking and how it can help your metabolism as well.  I did a little searching and found Michael.  After only a couple of treatments I
no longer had a desire or a need to smoke any more and my weight pretty much stayed the same with only a couple of pounds fluctuating.  I have not smoked for over 3 months and I can thank Michael for his treatments. Low Back Pain

I came to Dr. Huang with an array of problems, from low back and neck pains to overeating and other digestive issues. Since seeing him my ailments have decreased significantly.
